Conferences are Tuesday (Oct 27) and Thursday (Oct 29) 4-8 pm

1.  Parents/guardians have until Monday evening to sign-up on-line for Tuesday’s conferences — for Thursday conferences you will be able to sign-up on-line through Oct 28 – the day prior to Thursday conferences.

(Directions for signing up on-line for conferences were emailed to parents last Friday.)

2.  Parents with Internet access will print off a copy of their conference schedule to bring to school.  Parents without Internet access may stop by Student Services if they need a copy of their schedule of conferences.

3. If you do not get signed-up for conferences online, you may go around to a teacher’s room after school on the day of conferences (either Tuesday or Thursday).  Teachers will have their conference schedule for that night posted.  Parents may write their name in if there is an open time slot.

Ames High will dismiss at 2:00 PM OCT. 27 & OCT. 29 due to parent/teacher conferences.

Juniors:  if you are interested in joining the Prom Committee this year, please complete the sign-up for before Friday, October 30th.  We will have our first meeting in November and hope to have our prom theme decided and working on decor before winter break.  Invite your friends, and lets plan PROM!!!  Prom Advisor: Sipele

There is murder in the air on the moors of England and one man is called upon to solve a mystery: Sherlock Holmes and his faithful companion Dr. Watson.  On November 13 and 14 at 7:30, Ames High School Theatre Department will present Hound of the Baskervilles, adapted to the stage by Tim Kelley from Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s famous novel. The Baskerville family is plagued by an old curse that threatens the residents of Baskerville Hall and detective Sherlock Holmes is called upon to break the murderous secret.  Beginning the evening is the one-act play within a play, CUT, by Ed Monk. To describe the wacky plot of this comedy would spoil all the twists and turns.  Curtain is 7:30. Tickets are $3.00 for elementary and middle school students and $5.00 for high school and up.

The following college representatives will be in Student Services. Please see Student Services if you need a pass to visit with these college representatives.
