Media Center Hours and Rules
Hours: Monday – Friday, 7:30 a.m.- 3:30 p.m.
No food or drink allowed.
Use the Media Center as a quiet study area.
Please seat no more than four students at each table.
Please be respectful of others.
Media Center Passes
For safety and accountability, all students must obtain a 15-minute pass from a teacher before visiting the Media Center, unless a teacher accompanies them. Students must present the pass to Media Center staff upon arrival.
To allow students access to Media Center resources for continuing or completing work on projects and assignments, students may get full-period passes to use during Activity Period. Request the pass from Media Center staff before 12 p.m. the day of use.
Other important notes
Students must use their Student ID card to check out media items.
Students will be notified about overdue materials is made weekly with the expectation that the students will attend to any overdue items in a timely manner. It is the student’s responsibility of to return borrowed materials in good condition.
If students lose or damage a media item, they will be charged a fine equal to the replacement cost of the item.
Students may check out a total of 4 items at any one time.
Students who have two overdue items must return them before they will be allowed to check out more items.
The standard check-out period is two weeks.
Reference materials may be checked during the day for one class period, or after school for overnight.
Video tapes and DVDs may be checked out for overnight use.
Non-print resources may be checked out with prior parental approval.
