Reminder, we are having that “Special NOON Assembly” today. The reason for the assembly is a secret…..nobody, not even the teachers know what is going to happen. Get ready to be surprised.

Don’t miss the Fall Play – One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest!   The shows are this Friday and Saturday in the Ames High School Auditorium.  It starts at 7:30 PM so don’t be late.  Tickets are $5.00 for 9th grade and up, and $4.00 8th grade and under.   

If you are  interested in forming a Mock Trial team, there will be a meeting in Mr. Woolery’s room during Plus Period on Tuesday, November 14 and after school Wednesday the November 15.

Are you a writer? Do you write poetry or short stories.  Are you an artist or photographer? If so, share your talents with others by submitting to Scratchpad, Ames His literary and art publication.  Locate the plastic bins in your English classrooms and leave a story, poem, photograph or artwork.  Make sure you identify yourself. Your will will be considered for publication in next spring’s Scratchpad.  See Mr. Woolery or a Scratchpad board member with any questions.

Auditions for AHS Musical “Babes in Arms” will be Tuesday, Nov. 14.  If you are interested in auditioning, please see Mrs. Dieter in the Vocal Music Room for audition materials and details.

The Ames High Senior Senate is holding its semi-annual blood drive on Friday, November 10 from 8:00-2:00. Pre-registration will be through Thursday, November 9 in the front lobby of the school.
