Just a few quick reminders. #1. The Fall Cheer and Competition Cheer Tryouts are tonight at 6:30 in the Spirit Room. #2. The Spring Sports Parents Meeting is tonight at 7pm. #3. You can still get applications to audition as a student performer for baccalaureate in the main office, and #4 You can sign up for the Monday yoga class during plus period under Mrs. DiBlasi’s name.
Are you interested in learning more about careers as a medical doctor, medic, EMT, or paramedic? If so, there will be a guest speaker during Plus period on Friday, April 6th. Sign up under Mr. Zmolek’s Flexi Schedule and come hear from current medical student and AHS alum Daniel Kinker, who is about to begin his medical residency in emergency medicine at the Cleveland Clinic.
Do you like people? Do you like eating lunch? If you are interested in joining a club that is all about enjoying lunch, sign up for Mrs. Brenneman’s plus period on Friday, April 6th. There will be snacks. You can also contact Mrs. Brenneman or Deeksha Sarda for more information.
The AHS Junior Prom Committee is excited to announce this year’s prom theme as “A Night in Rome.” Prom will be held at the Scheman Building, 1805 CenterDrive, on Saturday, April 14th, from 9:00-11:00 PM (doors will close at 10:00 PM). Coronation will begin promptly at 9:30 PM. Please note the start time is 9:00 PM. Tickets are $20 and will be sold April 9-13th before school, during lunch, and after school. No tickets will be sold at the door. All students and guests must have their school IDs to enter the dance. Out of school dance forms are available in the Associate Principal’s office and must be turned in to Bridget McCarley no later than Wednesday, April 11th (forms must be turned in before student may purchase tickets).
All juniors and seniors are invited to attend the 2018 Post Prom Party whether attending prom or not on Sunday, April 15, from midnight-4:30 AM in the AHS gym. NO cost to attend, NO tickets needed. More details will be included in future announcements.
Tomorrow a representative from The University of Kansas will be here to talk to students interested in possibly attending in the future.
