A college representative from Simpson College will be in Student Services tomorrow at 1:00 PM.

Dance Marathon is coming up quick! It will be held Saturday February 23rd and the t-shirts and tickets will be sold in the main lobby throughout this week. We will be holding a pancake breakfast this Wednesday starting at 8am. It’s only $3 for unlimited pancakes and drinks in the cafeteria.

KURE 88.5, ISU’s broadcasting radio station is holding an open house today Monday, February 18th for students interested in broadcasting opportunities with this station.  Please see Mr. Anderson in student services for further information if interested. 

Join us, space nerds and climate activists, tonight and attend a lecture given by Cpt. Scott Kelly (an astronaut) about how we affect our planet and where the future of space exploration will go. It will take place at Stephens Auditorium at 7:00 pm! Doors open at 6, be there or regret it forever!

The Girls Cross Country team is holding a fundraiser at Noodles and Co. tomorrow from 4-8 pm. We are trying to raise money to purchase a new cross country tent. All you need to do is mention that you are here for the AHS Girls Cross Country when you purchase your meal and we will receive 25% of that sale. We hope to see you there!

Attention movie makers: this is a reminder that the Ames High Film Festival 2019 is coming up.  The festival will be held Friday, March 29. Movies must be submitted on or before Monday March 25. It is expected that all technical problems will be resolved before submission otherwise the movie will not be considered.  Please Mr. Woolery for more information and guidelines.

Any current sophomore or junior with a GPA of 3.4+ are eligible to apply for National Honor Society for the 2019-2020 school year. Applications are available online at bit.ly/amesnhs or in the main office. Deadline for accepting applications is Friday, March 8th at 3:05 PM. Any questions can be sent to Ms. C in room 229.

Registration for AP exams begins today and will run through March 4.  The cost per exam is $94.  Sign up for the exams in Student Services, preferred payment for the exam is a check made out to Ames High School and is due at the time of registration. Late registration may not be accepted.  Once the tests are ordered from College Board, there will be no full refunds
