PROCEDURES FOR DR. APPOINTMENTS

If you are planning to take your student to a doctor appointment during the school day, it is helpful to notify the attendance secretary, via note or phone call, the morning of the appointment.   If your student will need a pass to leave during a class, he/she can get a paper pass to show the teacher before class instruction begins.   This saves the secretaries from interrupting classes during instruction time.   Secretaries are not encouraged to call the teacher during class instruction to pull a child out of class.  The pass the student should have can be picked up in the main office the same school day of the appointment.  Once the student has that pass, he/she does not need to stop back in the office on the way out of the building.  If the student is coming back to school after an appointment, then he/she should “check in” at the office again.
