Because learning and teaching are the foundation of our organizational plan, our Facilities Master Plan provides a blueprint for rebuilding and remodeling all five elementary schools with state-of-the-art learning environments by 2016.
We put students first by using our resources to provide facilities that promote a 21st Century learning environment.
We thank the voters in our community, who approved $55 million in school bonds in 2012 to help fund the elementary facilities initiative.
A new Educational Services Center and athletic fields for Ames High School are coming soon to the District’s 24th Street property. Other long-range projects, such as replacing the Ames High School Swimming Pool and the District Facilities Maintenance Building are still in the discussion and planning stage.
