    About Ames High School:

    Ames High connects students with educators, peers and the community to make their high school years count for
    the rest of their lives. In a welcoming and supportive culture, we help students find a place to fit in and grow, through rigorous academics, fine arts, athletics and extracurricular clubs and activities. Our goal is to help students prepare for life after high school, whether they pursue four-year college, vocational training or forge an alternative path.

    Ames High’s highly-ranked athletic program offers 25 different sports for girls and boys.

    Ames High’s global reach.
    Each summer about 22 Ames High students travel to Uganda to help in the physical construction
    of a primary school. The service learning project is in its 10th consecutive year.
