Congratulations to the 2010-11 GBB team on another great season. The Little Cyclones finished 14-9 overall and 6-4 in the conference. The third place finish marks the 13th straight year of finishing no lower than 3rd place in the ever challenging CIML-Iowa conference. The season came to a disappointing end at Ankeny on Feb. 22, when the Little Cyclones lost to a very talented and tough Ankeny Hawkettes.
The 2010-11 Little Cyclone cagers played an exciting brand of basketball that featured a high powered offense, breaking the school record for points in a game (93), 3-pointers made in a game (8 on three different occaisions), 3-pointers made in a season (116), and FT percentage for the season (70.9%).
Mady VanMetre garnered the honor All-District for the IGCA West District as well as 1st team all-conference honors. Cheyenne Pritchard and Shaya Kellogg each were named 2nd team all-conferenc while Jenna Power and Ashley Ray received Honorable Mention nods.
