The Ames High Little Cyclones finished their season with a 2nd trip to the the state quarterfinals in 3 years.  They were 9-3, 2nd place in the conference, and the #4 seed in the 16-team Western Iowa 4A playoff bracket. Some of the season highlights were wins over WDM Valley, defending state runner-up and arch rival Marshalltown, and highly ranked Sioux City East.

Seniors Nate Cruise, Dane Jensen, and Kyle Anderson earned 1st Team All State honors. The Little Cyclones ended the season with a loss to eventual state champion Dowling Catholic. The freshman were 8-1 and the sophomores finished the season 6-3.
