Boys Cross Country News

In fall of 2010, we had 72 boys out for Cross Country, many of whom were beginners as runners. We made appreciable gains in developing a life long love of running among these 72 young men. Our 2010 Varsity squad was young with no seniors in our varsity line up. Our team finished 3rd place at the Conference Meet, 3rd place at the District Meet and 14th in the State.
We still have our sights set on being Conference and District Champs in 2012 and being in the top 10 at the State Meet. Several guys began running soon after the season in November as part of the Polar Bears Running Club. The group meets after school on M-T-Th-F for outdoor training sessions and will continued until Track began in mid February. We look forward to seeing many of our promising distance runners sharpen their competitive edge in the 2011 Track season.
