Ames High Winter Cheer is made up of approximately fifty cheerleaders, one head coach, and three assistant coaches (Mollie Boersma, Alyssa Howlett, and Alison Church). Our cheerleaders are divided into two Freshman squads, two Junior Varsity squads, and three Varsity squads. The cheerleaders cover over 180 events throughout the regular season, cheering at all Boys’ and Girls’ Basketball games, Wrestling meets, and assisting with the timing of Boys' Swim Meets. The winter cheerleaders are a great group of young ladies, dedicated, hard working, caring, and full of school spirit!
