Boys Track News
The 2009 Little Cyclone boys track team, paced by seniors Sam Tim, Nic Toben, Brent Novey, Quentin Ring and Cale Brakke, is off to a good start in maintaining the Ames High winning track tradition. Claiming team championships in the SE Polk Ram Relays and the Kenny Dean Bobcat Invitational (Marshalltown), together with runner-up finishes in the Hi Covey Relays and Fred Smith Hawk Relays (Ankeny), the Little Cyclone tracksters are pointing to major meets following the Drake Relays which include the "Old" Big Eight conference meet in Fort Dodge, the annual Ames Invitational and CIML Iowa conference meet,
also in Ames, the district meet in Sioux City, and the state meet
May 21-23 at Drake University.
