"Working Together to Create Lifelong Learners."

Futures are BRIGHT at Mitchell Elementary School!

Each day I walk into our doors, I am reminded of the 280+ reasons why things are so exciting at Mitchell Elementary School. After more than 11 years in education, I continue to feel great joy and excitement as I see our children grow and excel academically and socially over the course of the school year. I am passionate about providing students with an excellent education, complete with meaningful work and meaningful relationships, to help them become successful, responsible citizens, and to provide that learning in a safe, caring environment.

At Mitchell Elementary, school safety is always a top priority. Many systems and drills are in place to ensure your child is in a safe learning environment. Raising a child is a partnership between school and home. Your communication is valued!

Daily attendance is also critical for students to ensure they get the education they deserve and you, our teachers, and the state expect. We miss your kids when they’re not here. Each one is cared for, and teachers plan high quality instruction for every day of the week. While some work can be made up when excusable absences occur, some learning experiences can’t be duplicated. Please help make sure your child is at school each day.

Visiting classrooms and talking with students is one of the best parts of my job. By differentiating instruction and using research-based instructional strategies, we celebrate student achievement and strive to create a love for learning in each child. Our team is dedicated to providing your child with meaningful work so they will develop the desire to be life-long and successful learners.

Come and visit to see for yourself that great students + caring staff + parental involvement = BRIGHT futures!
