PTO Officer Candidates
Consider running for a PTO office for next school year. We will be having our PTO elections at our May meeting and we are looking for volunteers willing to contribute their time and talents. Contact Sue Weiss (292-5332) if you're interested or have questions.
The purpose of this organization shall be:
· Foster the development of positive relationships between teachers, students, and parents/guardians by promoting a sense of community among the groups.
· Enhance the educational process for Edwards Elementary students by promoting and providing educational enrichment opportunities.
· Foster a positive school attitude in the students by sponsoring and supporting efforts that are fun and build school spirit.
· Support and show appreciation of the Edwards Elementary staff.
· Coordinate fund-raising efforts to support the above goals; fund-raising dollars will be used to both meet the short-term operating expenses of PTO and to provide larger scale items to enhance the school.
· Inform parents/guardians of school programs and school curriculum, and encourage the involvement of parents within the school building.
