presents “State Fair”

AMES—The Ames High School Choral Music and Drama departments will transport audiences to the summer of 1946 as they present Rodgers and Hammerstein’s “State Fair.” This stage musical offers humor, romance and the ambiance of a vintage Iowa State Fair— complete with the midway, pickle and mincemeat judging, and deep-fried food on a stick.

The performances will be held in the Ames High School Auditorium at 7:30 p.m. on Friday Feb. 3 and Saturday, Feb. 4; and at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 5. Tickets cost $6 for students and $10 for adults. Tickets will available for presale on January 25 and at the door.
