AHS BASKETBALL TEAMS
FACE OFF AGAINST SIOUX CITY NORTH H.S.
AT WELLS FARGO ARENA

AMES—Ames High School’s boys’ and girls’ basketball teams will travel from their home court next month to showcase their talents on a much bigger stage.  Both teams will face Sioux City North High School February 6 at Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines, Athletic Director Judge Johnston announced today.

Following the girls’ and boys’ games, the Iowa Energy take on the Erie Bayhawks at 7:00 p.m. Tip-off for the girls’ contest is 3:00 p.m., followed by the boys’ game at 5:00 p.m.

Reserved seating tickets are available for $10 each.  No student activity passes will be accepted for this game.   Tickets may be purchased at the AHS Athletic Office, from
8 a.m. to 3 p.m. weekdays now through Friday, February 5.  Ames High School is located at 1921 Ames High Drive.

Johnston said, “We at AHS are so pleased that our student-athletes and our coaches can enjoy the unique experience of competing in such a great venue.  Wells Fargo creates an air of excitement for the players, coaches and Little Cyclone fans.”  Johnston continued, “And of course, we wish to thank the Iowa Energy and Wells Fargo for providing us with this very special opportunity.”
