    Ames Community School District

    • Our student test scores are well above state and national norms and district achievement goals have been established to challenge us toward even higher levels of student success.

      Ames Students receive many accolades for achievements in academics , fine arts, athletics, extra curricular activities and volunteer service.

      National and State achievement test scores show our students performing at a high level of proficiency. Nearly one third of Ames High students retain a grade point of 3.5 or higher.

      Ames High School typically produces the greatest number of National Merit Scholars in the state.

      Thirteen Ames High School students
      have been named Presidential Scholars.


      Approximately half of Ames High
    • Graduates attending college at Iowa
      Regents Universities maintain a grade point average above 3.0 in their freshman year.
