AMS Volunteers in Education

The Volunteer Program of the Ames Community provides services of support and enrichment for students and the District. Volunteers serve in the school where principals, teachers, and staff request them.

Ames has a need for volunteers to assist at various times in the office, media center, classrooms, nurses' services, and as resource speakers. Interested parents should sign up at fall registration and at open house activities.

Parent Advisory Committee (PAC)

The Parent Advisory Committee (PAC) meets monthly every other month. the meetings are held in the AMS Media Center. Your concerns and suggestions are important to the operation of the middle school. All interested parents and guardians are invited to attend. We like to have at least one parent from each elementary school serve as a parent contact person for the middle school PAC. We will need a few interested parents to serve in this capacity.
