General Information
The SPIRIT creates a professional quality yearbook publication that highlights, chronologically and thematically, the events and people who make up Ames High. The course gives students strong first-hand experience with advanced desktop publishing technology including Adobe InDesign and Photoshop. SPIRIT is a nationally recognized book that has won regional awards and has been featured in Josten's Gotcha Covered book, which serves as a national idea book to highlight excellence in quality and design.

Yearbooks are currently for sale for $45, which is below our actual production costs. Orders can be placed by contacting the "Spirit" staff at the high school.

The popular section of Baby Ads is now taking submissions from parents wanting to celebrate a graduating senior with pictures and text. Forms can be downloaded from this page and then submitted to the high school. Forms can be mailed to the school or dropped in Mr. Webb's mailbox in the main office. Please submit all forms - or at least contact us to let us know it's coming.


Picture Submissions: We are actively seeking quality action shots of events and students of Ames High. If you have a picture you'd like to see in the yearbook, simply attach it to an email to sponsor James Webb, and it will be reviewed. If we agree that it's a quality picture, we'll find a place for it in the yearbook and even credit you with the picture. Please be sure to identify the names of the students featured in the picture. Thanks!
