Attention: Traffic for Fellows School
and Ames High School

Beginning Wednesday, Oct. 22, barricades
and/or cones will be in place along 20th
Street between Northwestern Ave. and Hayes Ave.
for about two weeks, to allow work on water lines
for the new Fellows building. Two-way traffic flow
will be maintained at all times, but please allow
more time to get to school.

AMES—There are two things Ames High School students Katelyn Moore and Carly Watson had never done before they won the Iowa Climate Prize video award. They’d never made a video and they’d never made the connection between recent weather events in Iowa and the reality of global climate change.

AMES—Last summer, Ames High School junior Aaron Mann spent six weeks in, Suzhou, China, immersed in the study of Chinese through a fully funded program that exists for students to pursue seven different languages of interest to the U.S. State Department.

Ames High School hosts World Food Prize visiting lecturer
Dr. Surinder Vasal will speak at Ames High School between 11:45 a.m. and 1:20 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 15

AMES—Ames High School has been selected by the World Food Prize Foundation to host one of the visiting lecturers for the2014 Borlaug Dialogue event. World Food Prize honoree (2000) Dr. Surinder Vasal will speak at Ames High School on Wednesday, Oct. 15.
