Early Dismissals Friday, May 25
Northwood Preschool Center: no afternoon classes Elementary schools: dismiss 1:30 p.m.
Middle School: dismisses 1 p.m.
High School: dismisses 1:15 p.m.

Summer office hours June 4 – August 10
Summer hours for offices at Ames High,
Ames Middle School, and the
Educational Services Center are
7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday – Thursday
7:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Friday

AMES—U.S. News  and World Report ranks Ames High School the third best in Iowa and 717th best in the nation. U.S. News calculates these values based on student performance on state exit exams and internationally available exams on college-level coursework, on the performance of economically disadvantaged students and ethnic minority students compared to state averages, and on student college-readiness..

Stanton Avenue construction near Ames Schools Educational Services Center.

AMES—Stanton Avenue between Knapp Street and Baker Street will be closed for construction beginning Monday, May 14. The Ames Community School District’s central offices at 415 Stanton Ave are located in the construction zone.
