Knapp Street is
closed between Welch Avenue and Lynn Avenue.
Stanton Avenue is blocked at the Knapp intersection.
To access the Educational Services Center from the
north and east, take Lynn Avenue south, turn right
on Baker Street, and turn right on Stanton Avenue to
enter the parking lot. To access the offices from
the north andwest, take Welch Avenue south to
Storm Street. Turn left onto Stanton Avenue
to enter the parking lot.

Ames Schools announce schedule changes to boost instruction

AMES— Ames Community School District leaders say small adjustments to the district calendar and daily schedule beginning this August will add up to significant benefits for the district’s education strategies. The school day will be a bit longer for students in kindergarten through eighth grade and the 2014-15 school year for the District will start on Aug. 14, a week earlier than usual.
